Eight departments recently issued a notice, outlining their requirements for official activities taking place for the (June 1).
The eight departments involved are: the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF); the Central Commission for Guiding Cultural and Ethical Progress; the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China; the Ministry of Education; the Ministry of Civil Affairs; the Ministry of Culture and Tourism; the National Health Commission; and the State Administration of Radio and Television.
According to the officials, relevant departments around the country should conscientiously study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as well as the work report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), and, further enhance the ideological moral education of youths.
Several specific requirements were proposed to better implement this year's celebrations.
First, officials should further promote the publicity and education of core socialist values.
Second, officials should carry out various themed practice activities to guide children to practice the core socialist values.
Third, officials should create a positive cultural environment for children's growth by further supervising and regulating output such as online games, literature, videos and live broadcasts.
Last but not the least, government officials should relay the Party's concern for children by providing better study conditions for them according to the different demands of youngsters of different ages.
Numerous celebration activities are expected be held by the above eight ministries.
The ACWF will further promote the parent-child reading activities.
The Central Civilization Office, the Ministry of Education, the Central Committee of the Communist Young League and the ACWF will publicize the advanced deeds of outstanding youngster in the new era.
The Ministry of Education will continue to launch a series of Adolescents Inherit Traditional Chinese Virtues education activities.
The Ministry of Civil Affairs will arrange a series of 100 public speeches to encourage the protection of so-called "left-behind" children in rural areas whose parents have moved to cities to work.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism will organize a Warm Culture performance to send condolences to special groups.
Besides, the National Health Commission will implement the Healthy Children Action Plan to protect children's health.
